Yin Yoga<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yin is de populairste yogavorm bij ZENd’r: geheel gericht op loslaten en ontspannen, zodat jij je kunt terugtrekken uit de chaos rond ons heen. Het bezorgt je een moment voor jezelf waarbij je kan voelen en reflecteren. Doordat we langer in elke yogapose blijven, werkt de stretch door op het bindweefsel. Tijdens deze les breng je de focus naar jezelf, binnen de vier punten van de yogamat. Wanneer we het bindweefsel soepeler en sterker maken, is de kans groot dat je veelvoorkomende spier- en gewrichtspijnen voorkomt. Herstellende yoga, dat is wat Restorative yoga letterlijk betekent. Het brengt je lichaam in een diepe staat van rust, waardoor het zenuwstelsel de gelegenheid krijgt om te ontspannen. Je blijft met behulp van dekens, kussens, bolsters en blokken minutenlang (langer dan bij yin yoga) in een houding liggen. Het gaat er niet om het lichaam op te rekken of fysiek sterker te maken, maar om bij de diepste laag van ontspanning te komen. Zo activeer je het zelfherstellende vermogen van je lichaam, terwijl je comfortabel ligt en focust op je ademhaling.<\/p>\n

De voordelen van Restorative yoga<\/h3>\n

Deze yogavorm is een echte self-care practice. Het geeft tijd en ruimte aan je lichaam en geest om chronische stress los te laten. De ondersteunende houdingen en de focus op een kalme ademhaling, zorgen voor een diepe rust die het parasympathisch zenuwstelsel activeert. Hierdoor kunnen de organen rusten en herstellen. Tegelijkertijd komt het sympathisch zenuwstelsel, dat verantwoordelijk is voor de vecht-of-vluchtreactie van ons lichaam, in balans.<\/p>\n
